SUMMARY:MEYMOON & SOMS IETS
DESCRIPTION:MEYMOON & SOMS IETS – SEPTEMBER 22ND | 4PM-8PM \nWORKSHOP INFORMATION:\nFUCK THAT BOX\nWhile the takate kote (TK) contains many fundamental building blocks for rope technique\, it’s not best for every body\, nor for everything what we want to do. This class teaches alternatives to classical box ties that still allow for dynamic suspensions and creating different connections with our partners. We’ll go through as many ties as we can in the allotted time\, and discuss critical evaluation of these patterns to determine how well these non-standard structures will meet the needs and desires of those tying and being tied. \nROPING THEM IN – BODY MANIPULATION AND OTHER CHAIN REACTIONS\nMoving the body with rope is an art\, a science\, and a whole lot of fun. This class examines how the body moves and how to anticipate what’s going to happen before movement starts. We’ll discuss and practice not just active – but proactive – bottoming\, moving and locking the upper and lower body\, and how to bring intention as well as technique into our play. The class will emphasize function over form\, and has been known to turn into impromptu wrestling matches\, so participants are encouraged to wear something comfortable and expect to be in close physical contact with their tying partner. \nSign up HERE \n
